We found a cozy spot under a big oak tree for our picnic. While eating, we played a fun game of "I Spy," which always makes me giggle.
After lunch, Dad and I went on a bike ride. We explored new paths and even found a hidden playground that I didn't know existed before! I swung as high as I could, feeling the wind rush through my hair. It was such a thrilling feeling!
Later, we joined Mom at the lake where she was feeding the ducks. I brought some breadcrumbs too and watched in awe as the ducks waddled over, quacking happily. One duck even let me pet it, which was super cool!
As the sun began to set, we packed up our things and headed home. On the way back, we stopped by an ice cream parlor and treated ourselves to some yummy cones. I chose chocolate fudge brownie, my all-time favorite flavor.
Now, as I sit in my bed writing this diary entry, I feel content and sleepy. Today was a perfect blend of adventure, family time, and nature. I can't wait to tell my friends about it at school tomorrow.
